C-BIG is proud to present the conference "Beyond the Soundbite: Business Models to Rejuvenate the Media Industry" at Cambridge University on the 5th and 6th of Feb 2010. This unique international event aims to bring together senior leaders from diverse parts of the media, technology and advertising industries to have a focused conversation regarding the viability and the sustainability of key media business models.
The four business models we will examine are:
- Subscriptions - What are the contexts in which a subscription model is viable?
- Micro-payments - Why does this model keeping coming back from the dead?
- "Free" - Can media ever be fully ad supported?
- Crowdfunding - See what it takes to be directly funded by the "crowd"
Participants are expected to include leaders from a broad range of interested and affected stakeholders, including content creators and owners, media buyers, technology enablers, advertising agencies, private equity firms, etc.
